116- I pushed in and we continued to work on their animals of the community books.
118- I brought the group making "mammals" down to work on their animals of the community books.

108- A small group came in to create their animals out of clay.

112- We continued to work on our animal books.
101- The class is beginning to create images for a calendar.  Each child will create an artwork showing the flower of their birth month. The first group is creating reliefs on clay. The second group will be using colored pencils and the third group will use watercolor paint.  The focus is on the lines that make up the flower.  This lesson is tying the birthday theme they've been working on with the plant/growing theme they are currently studying.

104- The students came in to work on creating leaves out of wire.  The two students who were most proficient with the wire volunteered to make a "tree" base that the other leaves will attach to.  We talked about it and decided that we would like to use real branches from outside combined with the wire to create this sculpture.

We are excited to begin work on a special project next week.  We will be making pur fairy houses for the Fairy House Festival at Art Park.  I'm starting to set up the provocation in the atelier and the teachers will set up space in their classrooms as well.
