120 & 118 missed class today because we held an Honors Assembly honoring those who are on the Honor Roll and Merit Roll.  We also honor those who are good citizens and who have demonstrated incredible growth this year.

108- I brought another group in to create their clay animals for their habitats. Working with clay is such a rich experience for the students. They described the smell and the texture. They wondered where it came from and guessed that it was a mixture of mud and water.

116- My group that is working on the book came in again and we continued to work. As they finish their drawings, they have been asking for more facts about the animal they're studying, so we look up videos on National Geographic.  The whole group paused today to learn more about beavers. We watched a video on how beavers build a dam. If you've never seen this, you should look it up- it's pretty amazing and made us laugh to see how strong they are.  We also researched raccoons.  "They are sneaky," said Daniel. "They sneak in your garbage."

103 continued to work on their self-portraits.
